One at a time. Why is this so hard to understand? If there were 11 million tax evaders, do you think the IRS would just throw up their hands and say, "Gee, there's too many, we can't get them all."
In fact, there's an idea -- enact the Fair Tax and put all the unemployed IRS workers to work for ICE deporting criminals.
For those who say we can't deport them all, but support making them pay fines and back taxes -- what will you do when they don't pay? You've already said that you simply "cannot get" all of them, so by claiming you'll fine them or penalize them, you're not making logical sense.
Bill Frist has a bill. It doesn't include supporting lawbreakers. It has no amnesty -- well, actually, it's 243 damn pages long, so I doubt ANYONE knows what's really in it.
At first glance, it looks pretty good. It increases border patrol agents and related agents, and it actually admits we have borders to this country. It includes tracking of criminals, a biometric exit/entry process, and actually supports deporting convicted criminals.
Senator Frist, no matter what threats of filibuster exist, send that bill to the floor!

You get rid of them by putting them in a box back to tacoland!!!
If things keep going the way they're headed, they're going to be going back in long pine boxes.
mac trackbacked this, with an "ogre asks the question: 'how do you deport 11 million illegals?'"
my answer, before i even came over, was "one at a time"
great comparison with the IRS as well...
But I like my gardener Jose!
Thanks for stopping by, Brett!
And Contagion, does your wife like Jose, too?
(I'm kidding!!)
Isn't reconquista the same as Zionism?
